So, I have to start by saying, I spent most of my childhood at the Opryland theme park in Nashville, TN until its closing in 1997. As a kid, it was where some of my happiest memories happened. So, when we decided to take our 3 kids (ages 18 months old-11 years old) to Dollywood the first time, I had reservations as if it would live up to my expectations. We also took Grandma along too, because you can never have too many hands helping out.
I have to say, we spent 1 day at the Dollywood Theme park (before the Wildwood Grove addition opened) and we had a GREAT time! We could have spent 2 days at the them park easily because we had no time to do any shows and we did not get to ride everything. I will say, we went to the park from around 10am-5pm because we just didn't want any toddler meltdowns. During the summer, the park stays open until 9pm or later. We have still not visited the water park yet.
